COVID-19 Update for Happy Soul Dance Studios
March 23, 2020: Due to the announcement yesterday of a state of emergency in Nova-Scotia because of the COVID-19, as well as the restrictions on social distancing to a maximum of 5 people. I feel I have to take the decision to close the doors of the studio completely for now to comply with the guidelines. Any rentals still booked, including solo practices will now be cancelled until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience and hope you understand. I am still staying hopeful to be able to open my doors again when this is all over. I will keep posting updates as the situation unforld.
Brigitte Aucoin – Owner of Happy Soul Dance studios
Brigitte has been involved in the arts her whole life. She discovered dance 15 years ago and fell in love with the art form learning many styles but has really found her passion through Freestyle Latin and African dances. She started teaching dance 9 years ago and went on to open her own Salsa dance school, Free to Move. She has also been working for different arts organizations in the city since her move to Halifax 11 years ago. After having a hard time finding suitable space to teach her classes and hearing other teachers having the same problem in the city, she decided to take it upon herself to open Happy Soul Dance Studios to give independent dance teachers in the city a high quality professional space they can be proud to use to teach their classes.
